Changes in the Western diet over recent years, i.e. the use of food/chemical additives; food-refining, increase in animal produce consumption and environmental pollution, all contribute enormously to the prevalence of allergies.

¤ Over 100 years ago there were 150 chemicals in use, now there are well over 60,000.

¤ 100 years ago there were no electrical devices.

¤ 50 years ago food didn't contain the hormones, antibiotics and additives it does today.

¤ 50 years ago we didn't have such demanding lifestyles.
